The service

Simple Routing gives you API access to hosted OSRM and VROOM instances. It's provided as-is and on a best-effort basis — while we work to keep it reliable, there's no formal uptime SLA.

Routing data is built from OpenStreetMap, used under the Open Database License. If your product displays routes, maps, or distances sourced from this API to your own users, you're responsible for including OpenStreetMap attribution in your product (e.g. "© OpenStreetMap contributors", linked to openstreetmap.org/copyright). Attribution doesn't need to be attached to individual API responses — just visible somewhere in your product where users would encounter the map data.

Fair use

Use the API for legitimate purposes and stay within your plan's rate limits. Don't use it for anything illegal, don't try to disrupt or abuse the service, and don't resell or share access to your API key outside your own account. Accounts that abuse the service may be suspended or terminated.

Billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Refunds aren't guaranteed.

If the service shuts down

This is a small operation, so it's worth being upfront: we may discontinue the Service or specific features at any time. If we do, we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email and on the dashboard where reasonably possible, and refund any unused prepaid time on paid plans.

We'll make a reasonable effort to let you export your account data before shutdown, but can't guarantee any specific format or timeline for that.

Liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the API.

The Service must not be used as the sole basis for decisions where a routing error could result in death, injury, or property damage — this includes life-safety, emergency response, and similar high-stakes use cases. Build in your own fallback if you're routing for anything where being wrong is dangerous, not just inconvenient.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Since this is a small operation, updates will just be posted here rather than sent as a separate notice — check back occasionally if you want to stay current.
